crop growing at different speeds
i planted the whole field without stopping, but when it started to grow only part of it came up at a time. if it was just a few minuets i'd understand and be easy enough to work around. but it can be game hours before the other third to half of field matures. had this happen on two different fields now. i don't have any mods.
p.s. i already know that sleeping with a worker on field will stop the worker until you wake up, that wasn't the issue this time. although that issue needs to be fixed too.

Every crop in the game has a timer between changes in growth stages. What probably occurred and occurs fairly often is you start planting a crop as it's near the end of the timer for it to move to the next growth stage, this causes the first part of your field to start to appear or grow, the rest of the field planted after the timer is reset, won't grow or appear until it reaches zero. This is why you end up with fields all grown at different rates and have a mismash of growth on a field.

I've always found the best thing to do is turn off crop growth completely whilst you are seeding and only turn it back on once you have finished the field. This way you ensure the whole field is planted at the same growth stage.

Sounds like you had the time sped up. i only ever sow seeds in real time

my growth speed is set on high i believe. but i haven't changed it so that shouldn't make part of the field grow faster than the rest.

Not the growth speed, the actual game speed

ok thought it might have been something like this.

Basically the best without mods is to wait for a growth stage to change on that crop, then seed the field asap. Usually have a couple hours to get it in on real time.
