which one do you have atually?
there are couple of things you can do to improve performance with tweaking a little
I was getting like 20fps and was able to raise it to 60 mostly with sometimes dropping to 40 which is ok.
Consider using 4:3 aspect ratio resolution. With 16:9 it renders to much on the sides what you don't see in the headset anyway. For me works best 1600x1200. You will also need to set same desktop resolution in windows, otherwise the game engine cannot switch to it.
Reduce object render distance. Im using 80.
if you have nvidia you can get alot more out of it tweaking its nvidia settings. There are guides on the internet how to tweak nvidia settings to get much better performance.
Also performance seems to be depending on the map you play. On some maps something is causing heavy lag. On others not at all. Im not sure what exactly is causing it. Maybe effects that the map authors have integrated.
I dont think new FS will be any different :).
We need new company who can do this game way better but that will never happen.
Giants is growing big and expanding all over the world, they don`t need to do change anything to keep sales and there is no competition.
Flight Simulator 2020 in VR - Project Cars in VR -
DCS World in VR - TramSim in VR - Star Wars Squadrons in VR - Derail Valley in VR - Elite Dangerous in VR - No Man's Sky in VR - soon Star Citizen in VR
Simulators without VR have NO future !!!
What percentage of players have VR equipment?
If you don't like it, you can keep playing Non VR.
That's wasn't my question, things are built and sold on supply and demand. Is there a larger enough demand for Giants to invest in VR?
demand is so big that there is third party program that implement vr into game and ppl are paying 50$ for it. Looking at ETS2 lot of ppl would like to play vr. Implementing vr is not that hard, i dont need any other vr related features than straight forward native vr implementation. The problem with vorpx is that it is not native it needs to use workarounds to implement 1 to 1 head tracking (and it`s not perfect). The ir tracking is already there, vr is just one step further. Dunno why are you against, vr is just another feature that won`t affect flat screen in any way
I have nothing against VR, doesn't effect me at all. I'm just asking how popular is VR.
We still don't have the "S" in "FS".... <shrugs>
"few more dollars" yeah but developing a game doesnt cost as much as yeeting ♥♥♥♥ into space and also nasas budget is getting smaller and smaller and its just sad.
