Cotton question

So im starting a playthough with little money and no equipment or buildings and one of my 3 fields I buy starts with cotton on it. If I harvest it with the harvester I cant create a bale because the field only yields like 1200 which is like 5-10% of the bale size and im not getting a unload unfinished bale option. How do I get this cotton out to sell or is this field just wasted?

You cannot unload partial bales, will have to replant cotton and wait till you have a full bail to get it out.

Thats crazy id have to plant this 1 field like 20 times to get one bail then lol Guess I should just plow the field at start of my game and plant something I can sell.

I think if you rent a harvester and return it, you get the money for the partially filled reservoir. not sure if that is due to a mod though.

Edit: Or if you sell your harvester.

At the meagre amount you have available, chances are you're going to pay more for rent than you get out of the harvest.
My recommendation would be to just plow it and plant something else. Keep the cotton farming for later, when you can afford larger fields and the expensive equipment.

using the Case harvester (square bales) I can unload partial bales after they are around 10% or so. There is a min size about the same place you can't fold the harvester back up. Edit: did a test run. Looks like it's at 10% you can empty the Case cotton harvester. Haven't used the John Deere yet.
