HOW DO YOU FILL THE FERTILIZER?

put the bag or pallet next to it press n and r should work or you take a pellet fork at lift it obove it and fill it

back the spreader to the pallet. open the cover. then you should be able to fill it, make sure you are using the right fertilizer / you dont already have one kind of fertilizer in your spreader.

What exactly are you trying to fill? And from what type of fertilizer?

Some pallets dump from the bottom (& bags), so you have to hold them above the equipment you are filling. Also make sure what you have is for fertilizer, since some may only do say lime.

I have the same issue. The cover opens, showing that it's a compatible material to fill, but there's no way to fill. I'm also in front of the shop which I've read is a requirement, but that doesn't help either. Any ideas?

Got it. You have to use a front loader to lift the pallet above the fertilizer spreader. Thanks for the tip, Merck. And you don't even have to be in front of the shop.

So, I know how to use the fertilizer & seed palettes, but the contents in these other bags just won't go in even if I lift the bags up over the seeder opening. Has anyone successfully filled with these?

With these bags, have you tried parking the planter right next to the skid. When in the right spot the seed hopper doors usually open on their own. Then you should see the prompt to fill the seeder.

I do not know if the different brands will mix. I don't see any reason they should not, since seeds are seeds, but maybe that is an issue???

The seeder cover opens (a sign that it's a compatible material), but I don't get any prompt to fill it.

I am assuming you have the display of prompts on screen turned on?? Also, have you tried to press the "standard" load keys, once the planter doors have opened?

Otherwise, I would suggest you check the key bindings, & see if there is some other set for these pallets of seeds to be loaded.

If it is just the vanilla game and no mods, it is pull up to the bags and hit R and it will eat them.
But any mods, and all bets are off in that case.

I have a few tractor mods, but no mods that change the characteristics of the game. I've gone through the key bindings several times. The thing is, I don't have R assigned to anything but I don't see an option to bind refill to anything. It's just not listed.

Some times games un-bind keys for no apparent reason. Likely some previous mod???

But you can go into the bindings & bind most any key as you like. look for the binding for filling, & see what key it has assigned if any.

Do you have filling listed in your controls? I couldn't find anything like that. There are bindings for dumping, but not filling.
