Giants editor V8 and V8.1 not working

I have GE v7.1 that one works great. When I installed v8 it opened fine the first time but when I tried to open a map from FS19 it would open the editor for a few seconds then close itself, i've even tried to open the editor and import a map but still did the same thing close itself.
I even got GE v8.1 and it did the same as v8.
Does anyone know if there is a problem with these two versions ?

But yeah, map makers sometimes do small funny things like that to put people off editing their maps, even tho its easy to get going again :)

Missed that part in the post about every map. Will be more care full next time reading thru post. Sure you all will figure it out.

Try lower the viewing profile to low or so and see if that works

Well so far nothing seems to be working and i can't change the viewing profile if I can't get GE V8.1 to open.
Oh well some day someone will tell me how.

Didnt you put in the first post that you could import maps into the editor but that it would crash doing so?

Yes that was the very first time that I installed V8.1 it did open the editor and that is when I tried to import a map but since then the editor never opened again.

And a reinstall with all prior files removed doesnt work either?

No I have done that 4 times now, I just don't understand it .

1st uninstall Giants Editor, Clean Registry entries with your software removal software, then Delete "GIANTS Editor 64bit 8.1.0" and "GIANTSPackageRegistry " folders from C:\Users\ YOUR USERNAME \AppData\Local. then restart your Computer. Install Giants Editor v 8.1.0 for FS 19. Enjoy

Is the map zipped when you try to open it?
