Some maps takes a pretty while to open and ive found GE 8.x to be a bit more sensitive regarding using the pc to do other stuff while it loads the map..
As for taking awhile no it closes the GE editor after a few seconds, and that's either double clicking on the map file or importing it in.
I have 3 different PC's that I have tried to run GE and they all do the same thing.
And it does it with all maps you try or just some maps?
Oh sorry, no fs19 is not running at the time and yes I have tried so far 7 different maps files, I even tried to open other objects like tractors and implements.
BTW thanks for helping.
Have you tried uninstalled all the editor versions and removed all data linked to them?
And whats your pc specs?
Win 10
Prof intel core i7-6700 cpu @ 3.40ghz
Ram 8 Gb
64 bit OS
Nvidia Gforce GTX 1060
SSD 3 TB
Yes I have a program called Revo uninstaller it goes deep in system to remove all associated files that program installed in my system.
I checked every folders in GiantsEditor V8.1 and no log file found in any folders, I even included hidden files to check.
Thats where the log is on W7, dont know if its the same path on W10
does it state anything at all?

Hope this helps have a great day.
I doubt thats his problem.. Unless he managed to find every map that has that trick done to it :)
But yeah, map makers sometimes do small funny things like that to put people off editing their maps, even tho its easy to get going again :)
