Giants editor V8 and V8.1 not working
I have GE v7.1 that one works great. When I installed v8 it opened fine the first time but when I tried to open a map from FS19 it would open the editor for a few seconds then close itself, i've even tried to open the editor and import a map but still did the same thing close itself.
I even got GE v8.1 and it did the same as v8.
Does anyone know if there is a problem with these two versions ?
Thanks for any help you can give us.

Do you use the pc otherwise when trying to open the map?
Some maps takes a pretty while to open and ive found GE 8.x to be a bit more sensitive regarding using the pc to do other stuff while it loads the map..

Yes I use a PC
As for taking awhile no it closes the GE editor after a few seconds, and that's either double clicking on the map file or importing it in.
I have 3 different PC's that I have tried to run GE and they all do the same thing.

I know youre on a pc :) I was asking if you used it while the map was loading..

And it does it with all maps you try or just some maps?

Okay, sounds strange..
Have you tried uninstalled all the editor versions and removed all data linked to them?

And whats your pc specs?

I checked every folders in GiantsEditor V8.1 and no log file found in any folders, I even included hidden files to check.

Try lower the viewing profile to low or so and see if that works

2 cents worth but please understand new at map editing. Had the same issue with the FS19_OldFamilyFarm map wanted to make some small edits to the map. The I3d was saved as a read only file changed to everyone or administrator. After removing the read only then the map would open and save with out an issue. GE v 8.1.0.

Hope this helps have a great day.

Hello LarryA.
I doubt thats his problem.. Unless he managed to find every map that has that trick done to it :)
But yeah, map makers sometimes do small funny things like that to put people off editing their maps, even tho its easy to get going again :)
