Durango is a big map. And if you want to know how big, it has 3 trains and is 4x the size of a normal map.
Picture included of the map:

Edit: It occurred to me that map picture has very little perspective on how big the fields are on the map. So here are a few more pictures of them.
Field 2 I turned into my animal and machine storage area.

Field 7 I cut in 2 for a place to grow grass and another crop.

Pleasant Valley & Stone Valley both have massive fields from modhub.

Pacific Northwest 19 has large and small fields.
Medicine Creek Is one of my faves when it comes to BIG FIELDS. Plus nice well done map.
If you go with Stone Valley watch out for field 22 when doing contracts. Pleasant Valley is nice if you are looking for some new crops to work with and you can go mining as well.

No Man's Land, is a large map, that is open for you to make your own fields of any size.

Durango, no mans land, stone valley compared to this map is like jam on bread.

This is Wild West 16X map, a map 16 times bigger then a normal one. The biggest field is 800+ hectare (field 17). It took me a 45 minutes too cultivate the field with the biggest cultivator.

Cornbelt Reloaded 16x has a field (18) that is 1492 acres when the math conversions are done, field 37 is 1172 acres, there are 68 fields on the map.

I have played the map extensively and play it exclusively now solo without course play and vanilla AI only with Montana Seasons installed.

The map is not 100% optimized and does see some small stutter even with my strong spec machine, their are also no NPCs, i am however rarely in either of the two towns so it doesn't bother me anyway, the 3 trains are situated well and are highly advantageous, traffic is to be watched, they are as nuts as most maps.

If this map is single player approached large equipment is a must for sizable acreage ownership, the birch trees on the map have some graphics glitch, i solved that by landscaping the saplings (they are rare) underground and chipping all the mature trees for money once i own the land.

A decent mod build is a must for any of these 16x maps.

I have also tried Wild West, i love the map but hate all those street lamps lol, nowhere in the Western US is this a thing, other than that the map rocks.

45 minutes for a 800 hectare/ 1976 acre field?, you must be cultivating at 30 mph, i play the 16x map i do with seasons on 24 day and real time, this is hauling #ss, and completely unrealistic, i cannot play that way lol, no offense to each their own.^^

Some maps I have played and liked: (for the most part)
Ramna (4x) - Big, has a lot of forest area that could be converted to fields if you cut down trees and smooth out the terrain. Existing fields aren't square. No trains. Standard crops

Seneca County (?) (4X) - Big, mostly farmland, comparable terrain to where I farm IRL. Certain pieces of machinery have issues with said terrain, mainly skipping patches. No train, No starting BGA. Land is cheap. "Multifruit"

Pacific Northwest (standard) Has some big fields, and some small and not square ones too. Some forestry. Train system is functional and actually useful. Normal BGA. Standard crops.

Flusstal XXL (4X) Can make big fields, as a lot of the map is parceled out in patches that are regular map grass. Has one mega sized field from the start that you won't afford to buy anytime soon. What fields it has are square. Train system ok, but I'm a picky person. 3 BGA's, and they are very high capacity compared to regular ones. "multifruit".

Here's a question for the Wild West and Pleasant Valley players. How are the headlands? I do alotta my work with helpers so this is super important to me.

I'm curently playing Lakeland Vale, and the nice thing about it is the headlands are sufficient that helpers can do every field I've tried without error.

I'd love to try a 16x map, so I was wondering how these measure up in that category.

Pleasant Valley has a couple of roadsides the AI doesn't work perfectly. That would equate to one end of roughly 15 fields of the 63 fields. If you have AI work the opposite (shorter) direction on the not so agreeable end of the field for a couple of passes it should get all but a corner of the field. Then you can turn AI back to working the longer direction.

Otherwise a great map. Lower 2/3 of the map (farming area) is mostly flat allowing vast opportunity to place a farm, plenty of sell points, a great train system, adds new elements such as several new crop types, mining & multiple new industries if you use 3rd party mods.Worth noting many of the new crop types would require special equipment which isn't in the game if immersion is a concern for you.

In Darango the AI* tends to stop short on a lot of fields when working them. I have noticed though; If you shorten the fields on the ends that are close to the roads (where it stops short) to make a good amount of turn around space, it will work almost flawlessly.

AI* = Artificial Idiot(s)
