How to get the map to reflect field changes?
I have seen screenshots and videos where the map reflects deleting/adding/editing fields. I have yet to see this happen in any of my saves. Is there a mod that's needed? Am I doing it wrong? Is it console only??

Hello-
I have noticed that if I create a field using a plow, it shows up a light blue on the map. And if I delete the field, using a roller, the blue areas on the map go away.

This is all vanilla stuff. What method are you using to add or delete fields?

It never really 'fixes' the map. If you turn off the checks for fertilization, growth, etc. it shows the base (original) map underneath. It also never changes or moves field numbers. They remain overlaid as they started.

I wish it would, as many fields that are grass at the start always appear to have grass no matter what you do with them.

Seen one map where the maker didn't even put in "fields" as they would appear on a normal map, just left it looking like a regular terrain map. (Think of a field with crops in it appearing on the mini map like a grass field, but obviously looked a lot different when looking at crop type, growth stage and field stage screens.) Could faintly see the outline of the original crop area but appeared as more of a green area than tan/brownish where forest was. After looking at it for a while though it made more sense to do it the way the guy did.

I don't remember if FS 13 did update the mini map or not, thought it did but also doubt it updated. Been a couple years since I last played it. Otherwise would have been just like the other screens showing crops and such.

The only way this works is if you plug the map into Giants Editor change the fields outline to the way you want it and then save said changes, which of course defeats the purpose of doing it in game if that is what you wanted to do.
