If by hedges you mean the bushes scattered all over the map, the only way I found was in the terrain editor. Use the paint brush with the same color as the grass around it.

If by "extensions" you plan to use a plow to make your fields bigger, the bushes will be removed while plowing.

This map wasn't designed with 'make your own farm' in mind, so everything is a set piece so to speak. The hedges are designed to work with seasons so you cant remove them the same way you would on other maps, either by ploughing or the terrain tools. If you wanted to remove them the only way possible is to go into Giants Editor, the very same tool used to create the map, and remove the ones you want that way.

However, this is not advisable for new/less experienced players. Giants Editor takes a short amount of time to work out and there's a good chance you can render your save unplayable if you make some mistakes. There are plenty of tutorials out on how to uses Giants Editor if you want to edit a map, and who knows you may even find through editing you want to create your own map to play on or share with other people.

thank you very much for the comments maybe the new farm sim might have a tool that could do this in the game or maps that you can make your own farm.

Some types of hedges (along property lines), along with fences can be cut with chainsaws. I also really like the Bruks portable grinder, which I attach to the front of a tractor, & pull a wagon behind. With the two parts of the Bruks, I am able to grind away many such obstacles.

Note: that not all maps allow hedges & fences to be removes this way.
