Achievements and Mods

Do mods disable achievements? I ask because I am missing 100 hectares harvested, but on my Ravenport save I have done 130. Also a ton of mods.

No they do not disable achievements. I have about 50% Achievements so far and I have used mods from day one!

I've been using mods and have gotten quite a few achievements. But I'm not using any weird mods massively affecting gameplay or anything. Just a few vehicles or objects to place.

If I'm not mistaken, achievements only work in single player. Not sure if that's the cause of you not being awarded achievements? I also doubt if work during contracts count. Could very well be you need to work on your own fields for the 100 hectares achievements. I think AI helper counts though.

That has me thinking, I do most of my field work with Courseplay. Maybe the game isnt registering? Stats page does show over 100 ha harvested though.

Courseplay is the same as hiring a worker. What achievements can you get where a hired worker does the task?

Work done for contracts is not counted towards such achievements. Only work on your own land counts.

This all has to be done on the same save game. So if you harvest 99 hectares on a map (save-game) and then delete that save and start over, you have now reset your harvest stat back to 0. The only way steam can read this data is from your current loaded save game. Yes, you can cheat all the achievements by editing your save-game xml. Don't spoil your fun doing this though. If you have a thousand hours in FS though, and still not achieved your 100 hectares for some achievement (and by looking at global stats, many have not as the percentage is quite low) then I see no harm or foul in adjusting your achievement. If you think about it, it is kinda rare a person would play the same map and save game so much that they would finally get upto 100 hectares in harvesting, cultivating, seeding....... So hats off to anybody who has earned the achievements for these without hacking your xml files.
