Giants DLC key

I bought the new DLC from Giants website about a week ago, and received an email from Giants with key for activation. Today I tried activating the DLC thru Steam but I get a invalid code response from Steam.

I copied and pasted the code so it should be correct. This is my first time buying directly from Giants, usually buy from Steam. I emailed Giants but haven't gotten a response yet. Am I doing something wrong. Thanks for any help.

You most likely bought and received a key that will allow you to download DLC from Giants website and that was meant for game that you can also buy directly from their website not for Steam version.
O would not expect it to work with Steam version but i suggest you wait for their response.

On the Giants website it says the DLC is compatible with Steam.

That´s good news but I think you still need to download it from their website. There should be link in the email you have received.

To get it to work on steam, you have to get the Download link you got in your mail from Giant's and save it on your harddrive and install it from your harddirive. For add it to steam you install it to Steam as non Steam game.

Then when Steam ask for the Key code you set it in, and it's done then reboot your PC. And start Steam and you should be able to see it in your Steam library under you FS19 list. go to the FS19 site on Steam and the DLC should show up as it stands in your library

if you buy dlc's from giant's website then check your mail and look for link to downloadportal and there you use key or go here https://eshop.giants-software.com/downloads.php

I put the key in at Giants download portal and installed DLC on my hard drive and went to Steam and selected non Steam game and selected DLC but Steam didn't ask for a key. I also restarted Steam but its not showing up in my library.

Did you try to validate the game files in steam?

I started the game up on Steam and got to the select/ un/select mod screen the DLC is showing there but not the Steam library,I went to the in game store and I have all the equipment, oh well as long as I have it in game is all that matters. Thanks everyone for offering to help.

You don't need to enter the key in Steam nor add the game as non-Steam game to Steam. You simply download the DLC from our download page, double click the download .exe, enter the key and wait for it to be installed.
After that you can launch the game and it will give you the option to enable the DLC for your savegames.

To add on to what the dev said, once you install it and launch the game, you'll have to check the addons/mods spot of the save game to find and enable the new dlc, if needed. I believe it'll automatically be turned on for a fresh save, but for existing you may need to turn it on in game on the menus when loading the save.
