Excavator controls using gamepad/PS4 controller

hey all...

Ive been driving myself mad for about 3 hours trying to get my controls right.

Im am using a PS4 controller on my pc and id like to change the controls so that when i use an excavator with my ps4 controller the excavator will do as it would in real life using 2 joy sticks.

ideally id like it so all i have to do is hold the RB on the controller to activate both sticks on the controller.

anyone who uses excavators in the real world like myself would massively understand why i would need the ps4 controller to react in the same say.

ive tried changing the keys and buttons in the settings but i just cannot get it right...

any ideas would be a great help

hey mate i got a problem with ps4 controller for excavator controlls. When i go and map the sticks for rotate crane left /right and lift crane arm up/down etc it dosent work i can go to the ponsee scorpion and the sticks work how i mapped them. wondereing if you have any ideas on how to resolve the issue cheers

Under general settings, you may find your luck to be better if you disable "Easy Arm Controls" that will avoid the game "Helping" by moving the other axis at the same time.

there was one i use that i didnt have to change anything it worked perfectly im not sure the name of mod but i know the creator is 4MR . also comes with a bucket already so no attaching log forks and such but it was the only one that paired with controller without having to mess with the preset buttons

Simple actually playing on PC just buy another controller that can be changed to direct input map all your crane controls to that controller, can work with xinput but when the game updates sometimes it changes your mapping if you are not on direct input. been doing it for years, Logitech f310 works just fine, Other ones will too.

I've used this site for my controls even though they aren't for PS4 controllers. Since I don't use my PS4 Controller for movement anyways.
