Yes doesn't matter where you buy it for PC you can play together.

I can safely say that the game is pm crossplay regardless of which digital store you get it from, however as far as I'm aware PC players can not play with console players.

So what this means is this...

Regardless of which store you buy the PC version from, you can play multiplayer with others. Only downsides, you'll need the mods and/or dlcs that the servers or others are using, if any, to play with them.

I totally forgot Epic exists. Still waiting on some of their year-long exclusive titles to come back to Steam. As others have said, PC multiplayer is not contingent on platform.
