How to turn off rain?
I am willing to sacrifice realism for gameplay. I don't have a ton of time to spare, so when FS19 is running I want to play. Right now I've been watching rain fall for 3 in-game days, which is not fun.

I just started, so I have only 1 farm. My 1 farm is rained out so I am literally watching rain fall as my gameplay right now lol.

Can someone please tell me how to turn the rain off so I can just farm instead of watching Netflix while my game just keeps raining lol?

You can modify the weather directly in the game's files, without any mods. Go to the savegame folder for the save you wish to modify. Open the environment.xml file in notepad. Change the durationLeft and duration for RAIN to 1.000000. That will turn the rain off after an hour (setting to 0 stops rain, but the game still seems to detect it even when off if rain was currently present) when you load your save game back up. To prevent more rain, just find any instance of rain and change it from RAIN to another weather type (SUN or CLOUDY).

The only way I know of is to fast forward time, until rain is gone.

Easy Development Controls (https://www.farming-simulator.com/mod.php?mod_id=138864), as stated above by VazuPlayzHD, is much easier than editing the game files, since it can be done right in the game as you are playing it.

The weather settings are real easy to do. Just navigate to the Environment page & change the weather as you see fit. You can set the weather type, & even change the time. More options are available, to configure the weather as you desire.

Unless you prefer to not use mods. Not everyone does, so of course providing all options to those who don't is 100% the best way to go.

There's no legitimate reason to be against using mods. They're easy to use, they're safe, and they only add to the game. Not saying that providing info on how to do things without mods is not good, but you're coming across as discouraging the use of mods.

I agree that having all the options listed is a very good thing. Just many players are more comfortable using mods such as Easy Dev Controls, than they are editing the games files. But as long as the player backups the files first before editing, & is careful what they do. Then editing the files can open more options for the players.

my reason for using easy Dev Controls is just that ...im not very tech minded when it comes to changing xml stuff lol

Using the mod Easy Development Controls is usually just a matter of pressing F11 in-game to bring up the menu screen. Then selecting the tab that has the weather & environment controls. Next you choose whatever options you desire to change, & then return right back to your game.

I had this mod in the past, it didn't work. Finding it now is pretty hard. I like editing the game file the bast.
