My Harvester is leaving a trail of un-harvested crops
I have the cheapest harvester and head, and I'm going the specified 6mph. When I activate the head and drive over my crops, the machine pulls out some crops but leaves a trail of crops still in the ground.

Why is that? How do I make my harvest pull up all the crops so I don't have to double drive?

edit: I'm using the Bizon FMZ Super z056 with it's Header on Field 21, which has wheat in it. This is the first thing I've done in the game, I just got it.

edit: screenshot is here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1582896511

it is not the leftovers that go into the bailer. It's literally stalks of wheat that are being left in the ground behind by the harvester. It's a line that goes straight down the middle of the harvester. So actually, I can activate the harvester and then leave the same strip of unharvested crops if I aim it correctly.

Also, I noticed that I can't get the Hired Worker to activate, whatever that means.

You are destroying the crops by driving over them, that's why there is still crops between the wheels.

Also, you can see at the bottom right of your screen, that grey bar indicates how full your harvester is, and its at 0.

Are you doing potatoes and using the pull type harvester?

has it been repaired?

Are you referring to the trail of debris that spits out the back? That’s essentially waste product

Edit: noticed that op is farming wheat, you can collect that straw and sell it, either through just vacuuming or up or bailing it.

Screenshot? Also, I assume it's not the straw swath.

I played FS17 a little bit, and this is nothing like the straw that can be bailed. It's leaving behind a strip of crops that aren't being harvested. I uploaded a screenshot.

I just uploaded a screenshot. I'm not talking about the swath that can be bailed. The harvester is not pulling crops out of the ground for some reason.

Hmm. Is that Wheat even at the Harvest stage?

Seems to me you are driving a harvester and destroying the crops (crop destruction on) with your harvester.

So no, you are not harvesting anything, you're simply destroying the crops with ur machine.

You need to wait till the crop reaches the harvest stage, yours is still growing.

press ESC , check MAP tab, on the filters cycle to "Growth", and see at which stage your crop is it.

Alternatively get on foot, and inspect the field , and make sure the crops are in the harvest phase.

Also, typically when things can be harvested they look quite yellow (ever seen a wheat field in a movie?)

That Field is not ready for Harvest yet.
The only thing you did there was destroying the crop with your Harvester.

As others have said, the screenshot shows the harvest is not ready. They should be yellow, you can use the map to track growth stages as well. It should still currently be one of the green stages, when the map shows it as yellow then it is ready to harvest.

LOL ok then. Whelp mystery solved. The map said it was in green growth stage, so I assumed that meany ready for harvest. Well thanks for the info!
green growth is still growing, if you check the map legend. Yellow/orange is harvestable.
