Safe mod sites?

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know good and safe sites to download mods from?

Currently I’m downloading mods from the in-game ModHub and from ls-portal.eu

As well ls portal should be a safe site, because there is shown a closed slot at the site link who would mean “safe”. But sometimes ls portal showing up unwanted things in it’s ads such as porno, fake dating sites, etc. And that does not give me a safe feeling.

And when you have problems with ads install the following addons in firefox

addblock plus
ublock origin

i cant believe that people in the year 2020 still have stupid ads ^^

Why not ask? Plenty of mod hosting sites out there try installing malware of some sort. Not only that, but you listed a site the OP already mentioned in there post. Did you read it?

I agree with Adblock plus. If you have it installed along with standard ms security essentials then all mod sites are safe.

Wtf about ads though? That’s how these sites make money. Most folks are not using ad blockers.

and it's a read-only file.. ublock don't help with that, so be careful

Yeah some sites do trigger my virus scanner and firewall like crazy. So the OP isnt an idiot for asking this q. IMHO always ask when in doubt. Assuming that a site mentioned on google is safe now thats ......

If you need a add blocker that is "Not" where the mod author posted the link for down load. There is a few exceptions. Please support the mod author and down load from there original link.

From an older post. Please in the future try doing a search for your questions. This question often asked.

Very good question. Try and find where the original author of a mod up loaded the mod for download. Can be challenging at times. The little extra research shows respect to the modding community and not to some thief steels mods. Good place to start watch Farmer Kline Reviews on YT or Duckzorley. Always start with FS 19.

Stevie made some very good mods is listed on Facebook. Do not need to log into FB in order to down load un less you want to comment or donate. Your Choice. Maps 4x Map. Fenton Forest, 2X LakeLand Vale. Number of edits to implements, silos, fermenting silos rucks and other. For direct down load links. Stevies page other members have links posted on Stevies page.

Here is a few other links may or may not need to create account in order to down load. Not all in english may need to translate. I do not use google period.
