Tips for logging
I am trying to do some logging and loading the trucks is proving to be a pathetic endevour. Other than auto loaders does anyone have any tips on what to do. I am currently trying to use the wheel loader with the log fork but it has less closing force than an infant's hand, its pathetic. Its so far removed from what these machines actually work like in real life I can't believe it got through the testing stage let alone an entire previous title.

Any help would be appriciated.

if you already using wheel loader you can download moded log fork. StollToolLogForkDuo. Way better then that one from the game.

I have this hunch that they left the log forks and log physics botched. The profit for a truck load of logs is way higher than anything else and I think its because its so hard to fill a Timber Runner - let alone make nice neat 5mx2 stacks of logs in it, like you see screen shots. Once they do fix logging they will probably lower what they are worth to sell, to balance it out. I used the auto-loader and it definitely messed things up financially; I was making $1M every 15 minutes. The Log Fork Duo is a nice mod for making logging more realistic and Ive even used straps IRL with similar equipment to steady it.

One of my strategies is to buy the Saw Mill (and the adjacent plot), so you can drag logs right up to the sell point's lot by the flag pole, cut them there and push them into the sell point. Ive done comparisons and you get the same amount for a whole de-branched tree as you do if its cut into 5m sections. Just dragging the whole tree to the sell point seems like the quickest way. The silver and red log grabber seems like the least fiddly of the tools and perfect for dragging logs.

Here's what Ive devised for a mod-free MP server that I was hosting: you just chop the logs in a pile on the ramp, then push them up and over the edge of the shed's roof into the truck. With the landscaping tools and place anywhere mod, it was simple to build. It took the players a little while to figure out what I was trying to do, but the "eureka" moment was epic. Had to shut the server down because it consumed almost 1TB of my data lol.

do you think wood chips have hte same value as whole trees`? I think i will go for woodchips, so I dont have to fiddle and stack trees that much.

the 88k woodchipper with the grab tool doesnt have any support legs, and doesnt seem to like any large pieces, it falls over.. idk what to do ;D

Use the telehandler to load the logs into the TimberRunner. It is much better, and can actually load up 2 or even 3 logs at a time. I reccommend the most expensive telehandler for this as the logs are heavy if you use long segments.

Telehandlers is by far the easiest way to loaf the logs in there.

I have been using the wheel loader and the regular log fork from in the game however did install the modded log fork, but haven't used it much yet. The wheel loader works fine until you get the trailer stacked over 3/4 full then can hit logs when you tip the forks to roll another one off. Someone made a trailer with the side posts further apart because of that but don't think it would work well for short logs.

Best price seems to be at 6m or 7m logs. Chips earn much less, as far as I can tell.

Until the log handling is fixed, though, I'd recommend an auto load trailer or the mega strength mod so you can load the logs by hand. That actually works well and makes for some tetris-style fun.

Im really only intrested in clearing my fields of existing trees. I found a great tool for the job. it makes the job a lot easier, and then i dont mind that i dont earn as much from it. http://www.modhub.us/farming-simulator-2019-mods/bruksallinone-v1-3/

It cuts down the tree, makes it into chips and removes treestumps in less then a minute. with a trailer on the back of the tracktor.
