Slow Tractor
My tractors are very slow. For example, I am using a Case IH Quadtrac 620 with a SPSL 9 and cruise control set at 24MPH. Whether I am driving or a helper is, it won't go above 4MPH when the plow is lowered. The maximum speed for that plow is 7MPH and that tractor has a 509kW/692hp engine in it. That engine is strong enough for anything in the game. Anyone have any fixes for this issue?

If you do not repair your equipment, their operating speed will drop.

Either bring the equipment to the workshop to repair it or repair it directly via Owned Items menu (which costs more than using workshop).

The equipment is completely clean and repaired. I have also tried with a brand new equipment straight off the lot.

Yes, repair the plow and tractor. I've heard it said that the tractors get weaker with wear. I haven't confirmed this myself, but it is logical with the wear system in this game.

I do know the implement wear does affect working speed. The more worn a plow is the slower you will go, so keep them repaired.

Harvester health reduces the quantity you harvest. You will harvest in the neighborhood of 40% less with a fully worn harvester. The header health affects it's working speed like implements do with normal tractors.

In my limited experience, everything attached to the tracktor affect working speed. so I repair the front weight too.. It needs maintanace just like any other tool. its only like $3 to repair the front weight tho..

Like all the others have said, with a brand new vehichle/plow etc then yes it should be going 7mph (max) but what will also be an affect is the field - is it flat, or are you going up hill / down hill? up hill will be much slower so try going across it. You don't mention the terrain - which map / which field etc.

Since i'm in-game, i just did the testing with leased:
Quadtrac (692HP) + SPSL 9 and it pulls it when lowered at 7 MPH / 12 KPH no issues.

Perhaps some of your mods are conflicting with the plow? Also, on which map you play?

I figured it out. When I had it attached and went to my vehicle workshop, it only gave me the option for the tractor. I had to detach it and pull the tractor away to get the option to repair the plow. Now it runs at full speed again. Since it wasn't giving me the option, I thought attachments didn't have to be repaired.

Woot - glad to hear you solved it...

I really wish that screen had scroll buttons to switch between all items in the zone though...

Let's just chalk it up to the 1,000,001 bugs in the game.

they only recently attempted to build a solid roof, something that complex will likely take a decade or so.

You need to repair your equipment.

The wear system is so damn broken. It's just to hard on the gameplay.
E.G My brand new JD tractor that cost me nearly 300k, after 14 days, 25 hours of work, keeping it shiny and repaired after every job, is now in the RED and worth 70k --- after 25 hours work time is pathetic! My new harvester is dropping like mad in the same stupid way.

Each day in the game is a full seasons use on the tractor. So 14 days is 14 seasons worth of work, you got your money's worth. The wear system isn't broken.

I recently got the same issue, I used all the tips in this thread and nothing works However it might be because I'm using a cultivator instead of a plow, Anyone can help?
