What's the fastest way to collect and sell straw?
I'm currently using a loading wagon since that the easiest way to pick it up and drop it at the sell point, but the limited capacity of the loading wagon means frequent trips between field & selling point. I'm not looking forward with any hassle of loading/unloading bales, unless that has been made significantly easier. I've once tried baling in FS17 and if I remember right it makes the straw more compact so you could transport it in larger quantities. What would be the fastest way to collect and sell straw in larger quantities?

The largest loading wagon, Schuitemaker Rapide 8400W, will carry 56,500 liters. The largest tipper, Wilson Trailer Pacesetter, will carry 60,000 liters in two bins. The next largest will carry 59,000 liters in one bin. The Arcusin FSX 63.72 bale collector will carry 16 4,000 liter bales or 64,000 liters total.

The loading wagon would have the least number of steps (2). Pick up the straw, then sell it.
Tippers have the most number of steps (4). Pick up the straw, store it in a hay barn, load the tipper and finally selling it.
Bales take three steps. Making the bales. pick them up, then sell them.

Either bales or a bigger loading wagon unfortunately.

I've already got the largest loading wagon. Looks like there's no better way to speed up the process of collecting and selling straw. The bale collecter does have a slightly higher capacity, but probably not enough to compensate the extra step needed to make and pick up the bales.

I'm only doing wheat, barley and oat on fields close to the selling point to safe myself quite a bit of travel time.

We generally do the same thing on the multiplayer farm I play on. Something else to consider is to get a mod for a placeable that allows you to sell straw, hay, silage, etc. and place that in a convenient location on your map (you will have to own the land you put it on). The sell prices will fluctuate, so you'll want to keep an eye on that if that's important to you. For me, just getting some money while avoiding the long haul to The Barn is worth more than any extra money I might get.

Indeed, the price difference for straw probably isn't worth the extra effort. There's also no use to store it anywhere until prices go up. The only reason it's worth storing is to have any reserves for your animals.

Thank god for Farm Simulator Mods on Facebook and the great work done by Stevie who released a bunch of modded trailers and loading wagons why you can purchase extension upgrades from the store. I think I have the Rapide 8400 with an extension upgrade that takes it to 100,000l which speeds up collecting but sadly on the map I play the Ranch only pays about 9K for full wagon load.

Don't forget you can also use the BGA to sell straw - you get the midnight daily payout for the loose or baled straw you've tipped in, and you get the digestate to fertilise fields and save on dry or liquid fertiliser - use a semi truck tanker as the tow (e.g. 1100hp Tatra IT Runner mod with RYC One Multiliquid ITR Tank = 64,000 litres per trip with the Fliegl 20metre slurry spreader) and it makes digestate as a fertiliser into a very efficient system.

Pro-tip ... advantage of bales into the BGA is that you can overstack the ingester and have to visit it fewer times per day.

BGAs usually pay more for straw than the barn, and if your map has a BGA with straw, grass, hay, sileage, woodchip, manure, and slurry, prices - you're onto a winner.

Biggest bale trailer with the bale capacity mod will give you up to 20,000L bales and most bale trailers fit at least 16bales on thats 360,000L of straw must be the quickest way

@Sparky28 - MAN Bale truck is 28 square or 40 round bales, the (newish) Vstr mod trailer carries 40 square bales (not sure of the round bale quantity). You can road train the trailers as it has a rear hitch. Both are autoload and unload.

The gamemods direct baler wrapper combi is configurable to 8000, 12000, or 20000 litre bales - you need the 8000 for filling TMR mixer trailers as the others are too big to get the right mix.

One MAN truck plus the Vstr trailer is 68 bales ... that's 1,360,000 litres if using the 20k bales.
