Conveyor Belts
What're people using them for? I don't see much benefit, unless I'm missing something big.

In FS17 I used them to get silages into the hopper to sell at the BGA place. was much easier just to push the silage along the pit to the conveyor than to load a truck then back the truck up etc. needed about 3 conveyors for one map, but it worked a treat!

So you lay down a long line of conveyors from wherever you were making silage to the place to sell it at? Seems like a lot lol.

it's not that many really, 2, maybe 3 depending on the map. but it means you sell all the silage in one go from the pit.

An alternative use I've just remembered is to create a wood chip pile, or grain piles in sheds. put the conveyor in the shed as well, and then you can just back the truck upto the conveyor to fill up.

Like you, would love to hear how others used them.

Hmm maybe I'm not following, I would love some screenshots, or better yet a video, if you're up to it.

Don't have any screenshots etc as I've not got them in FS19 yet.

However a quick search I found this video that looks like it's explaining and might help:

it's only 10 minutes long and clicking through it quickly looks exactly the setup I did with BGA & silage.

Good video.

I use the basic conveyor belt to clean up the feeding area for animals. It picks up the discarded food and recycles it back into the food supply.

Using the small and large conveyors are also good for clearing the smaller personal silage clamps into a trailer / tipper for transport.

load the potato seeders is another use, handy to feed your cows too , if you put a silage pit next to the trough it will put the feed in

Interesting, great ideas.

In some maps in FS17 - you tipped your potato crop in a shed and had conveyor belt the other side to lift up the crop and drop into a waiting trailer - like in the Bornholm map. The other way to do it was tip the potatos and then use a front loader bucket to scoop up and load which too forever.

Silage or wood chips are what i use them for but they are really fiddly and slow to move around. Also they can bug out now and then and need to be reset or they pick up something they cannot drop off at the end and it bugs out a bit.

In FS17 i used them for cows to move the manure to a sell point automatically, that worked pretty well.

guys fs19 talk cant couple it to a tractor or anything so i cant transport it without having to deal with getting it onto a lowloader and all that

Great for Silage at the BGA

On Lone Oak map I used them to move the cow manure out of the barn and outside to a tipper through the small side door.

I parked a trailer in the cow yard outside the barn, fill it with manure and sell at Biogas Plant.
