OK! So I wasted my time watching videos on "how to setup my steering wheel and joystick in FS19". Don't do that a complete waste of time!
Here is what worked. I use a g27 wheel and a Saitek X52 pro Flightstick/Joystick. I installed the logitech profiler (the g27 can be finicky without it) made sure all the buttons were working, then I plugged in the x52 and it worked with no changes.
I started FS19, went to options, under game pads click change devices, open both devices (wheel and joystick) and set deadzones for both. I use zero for my wheel settings and 5% for the joystick, less twitchy that way. Save settings. Go to keyboard, open gamepad and there setup your wheel and joystick. I set all tractor functions to my wheel buttons, I use my clutch as my brake (personal preference) and d-pad to control loader functions. All logging/crane work is assigned to my joystick. Save changes and you are set.
It works like a dream. I will likely change a few buttons settings as I go. The combination
takes up desk real estate, however, I have a large desk so I'm good to go!. Good luck!
