I am still able to exit the conveyors and have it move silage in FS19.
Conveyor belts is acting just like the vehicles with game setting ”Auto start” set to off.
If you move some distant or are too far away they stop, same goes for vehicles if you leave them running, and you move x amount of distant/time away from them the engine stops.
So you have to be in their vicinity to make them operate automaticly like they did in FS17, even if you traveled to the opposite side of the map, they did their job, but not with FS19, they turn off for some reason if you leave their vicinity for x amount of time or distance.
Thats my conclusion of why I always have to enter them to make them operative again after doing other chores on my farm.
However I have found that if you use two conveyors side by side. The one updates the other one that updates the first one. So they will run for a longer period of time before stoping.
