Humans. Every other animal has no need for money.

1) COWS
(It's considerable work and initial investment, but once you have 200 cows, the milk production goes fast, if you sell milk at 2000 / 1000L you make some nice coin. 64000 euros everytime you take a 32,000 L tanker to sell (on easy). Plus you could sell a couple of cows if you want to capitalize on cow reproduction) If you so wish you can have more than 1 pen, since you have all the equipment to feed them (balers , food mixer etc). A relatively small/medium small grass field will provide enough Hay and Silage (wrapped bales) for you to feed them, also grass grows quite fast so 1 field gets you a lot of hay/silage, you will just have to get additional straw bales, which you can get by ocasionally planting Wheat/Barley/Oats. You will also need Straw for the bedding. So you will need a Loading wagon. And a 32,000 L tanker for the milk, water.

You also receive a reasonable amount of manure and slurry as a byproduct, which won't go very far for fertlizing fields but can save you some coin, since fertilizer is quite expensive.
Plus you get to use manure spreaders and slurry sprayers, machines which you wouldn't otherwise ever use...

The only real work involved with cows is mixing the ration, by placing 2 hay bales + 1 straw bale +1 silage bale in a mixer. (each mixer takes typically 16,000 L, and a pen with 200 cows takes around 800,000 L ration, so... which lasts for quite a few days, but it's still some work involved, if you don't like using a frontloader , it might not be your thing.

2) PIGS
(Pretty easy to manage, the only thing they require is Corn, Barley, Canola, and Sugar beet or Potatoes (Beet is cheaper). You can use other crops but it makes sense using the crops that have higher yield. (for ex let's say your fields produce 150,000 L canola and 100,000 L Soybeans, and pigs eat them the same, makes more sense to give them canola, which is cheaper, because higher yield crops always have a lower price).

You also need to clean their food troughs , which is easily achieved with a belt (Lizard S-710, costs 5000) moving it back and fourth.

They also need water and straw for the bedding.
So basicly with pigs you just need to devote some production to feed them, then unload some trailers with crops and that's about it. And ocasionally take a Trailer with 30+ pigs to the animal dealer to sell. very little work involved.

3) SHEEP
(These are extremely easy to feed ,since they eat grass and hay, just need to ocasionally pickup the pallets with wool and sell in the spinnery when price is high)
Not extremely profitable but it's low effort too.

4) Chicken
very little effort, but also little pay, not worth it imho, of course you can have a pen just to have some fun and do something different. Plus if you play long enough you will end up wanting to try all activities.

5) HORSES (Yes you can make money but unless you are using a mod (meaning a cheat. Yes training them with the mod is a cheat as valid as using a money cheat.) to train them automatically then it's quite a bit of work plus it takes quite a few days, which you could be using to gather money from other animals on a daily basis. Sure, selling a bunch of horses is a big amount of money all at once, but meanwhile (as days were passing by) you got nothing, plus it cost you to feed them, plus buy them. Still if you like to ride horses this could be the thing for you, i just don't think the money is anything special for the amount of time it takes.

What's the difference between paying a helper to ride your horse and hiring a helper to plow your field? There's no difference. It's not 'cheating'. It's the exact same thing mate.

Field helper is built in feature. That's difference.

You cannot hire a helper to ride the horses. The cheat mod marks them all riddern at 11pm every day. There is no AI helper that takes each horse out for 5 minutes of riding. That is the difference.

If the AI helper actually rode each horse and took the 5 mins for each horse to train them instead of instanly marking them all riddern at 11pm then it would be ok.

The Horse helper mod is a cheat mod plain and simple.

I don't agree. Regardless if you see the horses being ridden or not doesn't matter. You pay a helper to do the work for you in both instances. You don't pay a helper to plow then stay and watch them do the work. It's exactly the same with horses.

Lol. It’s always funny when someone is spouting what is and what isn’t cheating. It’s a game that allows you to play the way you want. Some would consider just hiring helpers in game cheating. Some would consider any mod cheating. I would say playing on easy is cheating. I edit the save files to make the game harder, even that is cheating even if it is against me. This isn’t a board game where there are set rules and an opponent.
