Picking Up Eggs

Whats the deal with Eggs, Who in Giants thought this was the best way to collect eggs? I think The old way is way better then this new way, at least they auto collected in your back pack. why didnt they pallet it like the sheep Wool?
Does anyone have a decent way to collect eggs?

I haven't done the chickens yet in FS19, but the in-game help says eggs are automatically put on pallets now. Isn't that what you wanted?

They are defiantly not in pallet form, They are Individual Boxs, ill see if i can post a screen shot. I can never get pictures to show up properly here

Buggy as hell. I've been putting them in the pickup bed, but then when selling at the resturant, not all boxes disappear.
After selling three times,I have five boxes still in bed of the pickup.

Yeah and once you load the boxes of eggs in your truck bed and take them to the delivery spot, they may all sell, or you may have a few boxes that just kind of sit there and not sell. It is strange.

It is almost like there is some kind of hidden limit on the number of boxes you can sell. (I think it is a bug)

Giants may have implemented it, but its what the 'community' (TM) wanted. It explaines alot of the reasoning behind the pallets and why theres now a forklift in game.

More realism. The box's are considered to be the be the 'pallets'. Google egg box and a lot of the images come up with what we have in game now. It also provides better money in my view, so far I've had over 600 per box, in 17 it owul have taken me a fair few days to get that sort of cash

I never bothered with chickens in previous FS games because picking up individual eggs seemed like a big waste of time for very little cash.

It was the fact that they added egg boxes that I could pick up by hand and put in the bed of my pickup that made me think I might actually raise some chickens this time.

So in theory I love the change, but that assumes it's working correctly.

the reason they are not always selling is the game just not registering them, usually i just pull the last few out by hand and they tend to sell fine, only had one box not sell and thats because i bugged it out so bad it reset itself to the shop, and as we know any thing reset to shop looses its contents and so no eggs, so no sell.

I think before doing any more Chickens in my playthroughs I'll wait for one of the talented modders to come out with an autoloading/unloading pickup truck mod or an autoload trailer that can pick up the boxes of eggs, because that is a much needed quality of life tool.

i have the full 400 chickens, and its no effort at all to spend 2 minutes of a day to fill my gator with eggs.

they only produce a few boxes a day, like maybe 10 or 15 ?

I tried chickens last night and before any egg boxes were produced at all, I started getting the error about no more room for eggs. I purchased a dozen hens and one rooster.

When I searched this topic, I found an old Day 1 thread where the OP fixed it by simply waiting around two game days and it fixed itself.

And sure enough, in my case, after a full game day, I simply stopped getting the error and egg boxes started showing up without me doing anything differently. No vehicles had been parked anywhere near the egg box output.

Not to revive an old thread but merely help anyone searching; the collection points only take the boxes if facing upright.
