Folding up the Harvesters.

Is anyone else having an issue where you can't fold up the combine harvester when you've finished with it? As once I've done the fields and need to fold it all up to move to another there is no button I can find to close it, neither in the options either. Whether I have missed something or not I havent noticed it. IS it due to something I've messed up are other people with same situation with it?

I've tried that. There is no button that works on it that'll close it. I've tried every button on the keyboard.

It's a current issue that sometimes happens. I have yet to determine the exact cause.

Sometimes by moving the harvester around, or opening and closing the pipe it solves itself.
(if the pipe is open the option to fold harvester will be absent. By opening and closing the pipe again you MAY see the option to fold appear again, as if the pipe was not properly closed or something)

more often, you have to reload the game and the "Fold Harvester X" option immediately appears.

Game loads and saves extremely fast so it shouldn't be a problem.
requires you to set the workers again to work, so that's a hassle.

I'de like to note as well, that if the Harvester has any grain in it, even tiny amounts that the option to Fold Harvester would be unavailable.

So perhaps try emptying the harvester with the pipe for a few seconds, even it says 0 on the grain tank.

Perhaps that makes the option to fold appear again.

Sigmund Thank you. At least this isnt just an issue on my side alone. With so many other problems at the moment I'm not suprised that there are more issues to try and deal with. I'll try and give some of them ideas a go and see if they work.

Happened to me tonight as well. You're not alone.

That's happened to me a few times only after I alt+tabbed out of the game. Coming back to the game my vehicles lose the X button function. Restarting the game resets it back to normal.

You don't need to restart the game, you can simply reload the savegame. (Not that it matters since the game starts fast anyway, the savegames also load very fast).

How do you reload the save game?

I am not sure if it is in cause but it happens to me only when it was a hire worker who had empty the combine, it never happens yet when I did it be myself

press Escape, then cycle until you are in the "HELP" tab. you will see buttons on the lower left corner. in my case the Key to quit the game is Backspace.
(You should save before doing this of course, which you can by pressing Space, when on the help tab).

Press Backspace, return to mainmenu, then load your savegame.

Yeah that's restarting the game.

I just had this happen to me too. I did see a speck inside the harvester but I could not get out no matter what I have tried. So I reset the havester and that worked.

What i mean by restarting the game is:
1) completely shutting down the game(quitting it via the mainmenu), launching it again on steam, loading the savegame and play.

As opposed to
2) exiting to the mainmenu, and loading the savegame.


If your notion of "restarting the game" is option 2) then , no problems.

If you were doing option 1) instead, that's what i was saying it wasn't necessary for the solving of the folding harvest issue.

note: despite the fact that on the help tab it says "Quit the game", you're only returning to the Mainmenu, and not shutting down the entire game. Basicly you're "quitting" the savegame.
