Hold left mouse button + move mouse up-down to raise forks (pull down to raise, push up to lower).
Holding left mouse button + moving mouse left-right tilts the whole lifting boom.
So there's a conflict being caused by either my wheel or my side panel. But I've already cleared any bindings that could possibly be conflicting, so I've gotten closer to the culprit but I'm still stumped.
The troubling thing is that I didn't fix it by clearing any conflicts, I fixed it by disabling and then re-enabling gamepads from the main menu.
Agreed, the side panel was my first guess as to the culprit, and so that's where I was most meticulous in clearing bindings. In hindsight I think it had something to do with the wheel, because back when things weren't working, if I pressed either mouse button I would notice the in-game steering wheel would twitch, indicating some sort of conflict but my wheel wasn't bound to ANY command aside from left right forward reverse so it didn't make sense. Turnings things off and on however fixed whatever that conflict was.
