Try to cut everything as long and straight as you can
and be sure to cut branches off flush... if you leave even 4 or 5 inches hand off the log it will be worth jack at turn in....
They have done alot to force people to log and not just push whole tree's into the turn in slot... Now if you do that the tree will be worth like 50 dollars but if you lim it and cut it up etc you can get 3-4 K for it.....
Cut the trees up into 8 foot lengths
I have never had a tree go that cheep...
The Tamracks I gut into 3-4 pieces depending on height and get about 1.2K
The Pine Trees are about 1.5K
The Twisty Hardwood ones after cut up and hauled in yeild about 3K
The Straighter but really bushy hardwood ones are 4K plus
I simply pull up the cheep trailer customized to 8000 Liters capactiy and toss the wood inside it as I cut it up into the largest and straightest peices I can pick up.... Yes that means alot of small fat chips with the big hard woods but each of those small flat chips still is worth around 150 dollars each cut up.....
