Just start a brand new map, create your farm, don't name it or put password and after let your friends join. After that you can modify the farm name and put password.

Easy.
  1. At the main menu click on Multiplayer

  2. Then click Create Game

  3. Choose what save game to start with if not start a new one

  4. Adjust server settings as needed like password, number of players ect

  5. Choose your region (International, Europe ect)
Then enjoy playing with your buddies :steamhappy:

you probably need to port forward on your router to allow friends to join

Okey. Game just say this: "No connection could be established to the multiplayer game."
Egoon Nov 26, 2018 @ 7:20am

Shouldn't need to forward a port, my buddy a few states away from me can join me just fine, he must be having an internet connection issue

depends on the isp. some might have that port open by default?

i sure as hell don't, I wish I did because I would be able to run servers on other games too not just farming sim

it also depends on the router, and the routers settings, upnp only works i believe if the router has upnp and its set to enable, if you have a router that does not have upnp or is set to not allow then it will not work.

Also yes isp might be part of the reason, just port forward correctly and it should be fine.
