Anyone know how to run the boom/grapple on the Ponsse Buffalo forwarder?

I figured out how to rotate it and extend it but I can't grab a log.

What you using to control it? If a mouse,, hold down both left and right mouse buttons and move up/down to open and close it. So the same way you are rotating it, except moving mouse on the other axis. Left and right rotates the claw, up and down opens and closes it... something like that.

Did you do the last tutorial (#6) from the game's main menu.
That one teaches you the controls.
