Unsightly bushes and weeds.

I bought the mower to take care of the ugly weeds and bushes that litter my farm. Unfortunatly it doesnt seem to be working? there has to be a way to do this that i am missing.

seems odd i have so much control over my fields but nowhere else. I also cant find a way to make a simple path to some of the placeables ive purchased.

I have milliions of dollars in farm equipment but i cant cut weeds or make a simple path? what am i missing? this is quite frustrating for an ocd player like me.

Also i have given up trying to place my chicken coop. there is no where on the map it will place. im assuming theres no terraforming in this game either?

Mods. Hopefully. These bushes are driving me nuts as well.

ahhh so there really isnt a way to remove them with the vanilla game. thats a crazy oversoght. hopefully the modders will help us out. ill give 20 bucks to whoever fixes this. haha

Nope, they are deocration and cannot be gotten rid of. Only way would be to edit the map.

lol decoration. my mother would kill me if she saw my farm. it looks terrible. i can hear her now. "HAVE U EVER MOWED??"

is there anyway to edit the maps? ive thought about just plowing every bit of property i own and starting there.

You use a plow. Just set it to "allow create fields" to remove bushes and the pesky grass :). Then you buy the roller in misc section and fancy up the plow furos. Little bit of a job, but it can be done.

And btw. Terrforming will come, they are still working on that part, the forum said.

Or even better if you want the grass to look good after plowing it, seed the plowed furrows with grass.

Turn off autosave and manually save the game before you go playing with plows and especially the roller, in case you mess up.

plow and roller is the only way so far.. should be a spot sprayer that you can go around and spray the weeds around the yard..

terraforming works. just most people cannot seem to read the bit about holding ctrl+Q/E to raise and lower an object before placing it.

By terraforming I think the person means to actually transform terrain, not just have the game give objects a skirting. For example, with proper terraforming tools, level an entire field.

thanks for the help guys! i thihnk making a new save file and going to town with the plow/roller is a solid plan. will definatly have some fun playing with it. i just need to find a way to keep my workers on the fields and not the nice new lawn im about to plant.
