is it just me or do wage payment seems to be a bit all over the place when i use workers i can see my money go down in a stedy paste and then there is the wage payment that pups up randomly with drifrent payment?? i have all worker refill on off so they dont charge for seeds or fertilizer

I had used a worker on accident for 30 seconds, and I hadn't seen a wage payment popup for 2 hours after finishing that contract.

The popup happened after I got myself a piece of land and the tools needed to work on fields, was like why do I get a wage payment popup? As I couldn't remember to having used a working in the past 2 hours and was first like is there an upkeep to land (without buildings).

Even with refill off, the workers still charge continuously (a charge per meter, perhaps), and then at the top of each in-game hour, they are paid a bulk wage for that hour.

If it's fuel, then I'd call that a Bug.

There's a setting to turn off "Helper Refill - Fuel". It shouldn't be continously charging me for fuel when that's off, just like it doesn't continously charge for seeds/fertilizer, etc, when those are set to off.

It happens every hour, its not random. Every time the clock hits a full hour, 09:00, 13:00 etc, you pay wages for the amount you used the worker that hour. The money ticking down is the worker using seeds/fertilizer and fuel. Turn it off in the settings to use your own seeds etc and money won't go down, only the hour wage pay

The wage payment notification is just the money the worker got paid in the last (in-game) hour. If you paid attention, you would have noticed that the money doesn't go down by the amount shown the moment it "pops up".

The money is taken as the worker works (+fuel/seed/fertiliser) and at the end of each hour, you are notified about how much your workers cost you in the last hour.
1 worker using fuel+seed+fertiliser will cost you 1000$ per hours if you play on x1 time speed.
If you speed up time to x4, you'll notice that it will only have cost you 250$ for 1 in-game hour because they are paid per real hours.
