Menu mods?
Anyone else notice the tediousness of the menus and the UI in general? I wanted to know if there's any way to streamline it. Getting rid of the intro videos; the multiple clicks to open a save file - you have to click 9-10 times to get from clicking the icon to game play; Exiting the game requires unnecessary steps too. Not complaining about the UI, just seeing if there's a solution or one in progress/throwing some ideas out there.

Here are some tips I have found. First of all, to skip the video intro you can add -restart to the launch options of FS19. Right click on FS19 in your games library and select properties at the bottom of the list, then select the launch options button and enter that line. If you have multiple entries, you can put a space between them. For example, I have my launch options as :

*Edit: Do not add a comma as I initially stated, it's simply a space between entries as the following example:

-cheats -restart

Now go into your game.xml file (←...Documents/MyGames/FS19) and make sure developer mode / controls is set to true, and start mode is set to 1. Bottom of my xml file looks like this:

<development>
<controls>true</controls>
</development>
<startMode>1</startMode>
</game>

Another thing, is if you have a bunch of mods installed yet don't use them all, remove them from your mod folder and keep organized. Even if you don't use a mod in a save, but have it in your mods folder, it still has to load all those unused mods and that takes up time. Especially when you factor in all the dirty mods with errors writing to the log file etc....

...and when I'm done playing and ready to quiit, I save my game as normal, and as soon as it is done saving I alt-f4 to exit the game completely. I've never had any issues in doing this with corrupt saves. Obviously wait a few seconds and make sure the save finished before termination.

Good luck.

Thanks, that should help my left mouse button (and fingers) last a little longer. I forgot about Alt-F1 and that's a good one too.
