It is not being blocked by the firewall. I checked.
I'm surprised nobody else has any constructive responses.
1, "The issue comes when I try to join one" Litterally has thousands amoung thousands of things wrong with your computer, router, modem or ISP.
2, Saying "They can handle World of Warcraft on full settings without issue." shows that you know very little about the technical side of things, meaning that helping you is going to be like pulling teeth.(No offense.)
The advice I can give you, is that it is your end 100%, It is most likely a port issue, As to What or Where will require you to figure out yourself because you need to try what the first few pages of google suggests before anyone (myself included) can really help you with the advanced stuff. As to How, Google and Youtube are your friend.
To give an example as to how you're sounding to people "My Mustang is running half as fast as it used to , It ran diffrent when I first got it and it is a shame that other Mustang owners half to go through this. Other mechanics dont know how to help."

Apparently you know nothing about how GPU, CPU, RAM, and network instensive that game can be. You also know nothing about just how technical I am. Are you technical enough to understand all the intricacies that are involved in building a computer, configuring a network, programming anything that involves a datasource/database of any kind, how the transfer of information over a network works, or anything else computer related that involves more than a vague response?
Google is a friend, I will agree to that. I actually spent over an hour searching Google and all that was there were people that have the same issue and got the same vague responses, information not related to the issue, and no real help. The closest to help was to open port 10823, as you can read by my previous post, I have already let that through my firewall to no avail.
That is a good example of someone that sounds smarter than you. Did you write this post by yourself? To those of us with technical backgrounds in Information Technology this is how you sound:
My computer won't start and it's not plugged in. Does it have a virus?
Sorry to tell you, but you are nothing but a stuck at home with mom self-proclaimed techie who barely knows how to operate a touch-tone phone. Your answers are vague enough that, to yourself, you sound cool and like you know what you are talking about. To the rest of the world, you sound like the idiots that call tech support because they can't find the ANY key. "(No offense.)"
I actually have all communication in and out from any internal or external computer on either type of connection allowed on this computer for this application. I live in the US and so there is no way to tell what server might be closer. Just in case, I did try all the games I could, without having to install more mods, on the Continental Europe and both German selections. I also tried at least 10 different games on the International selection. Some had people already, others did not.
This application is allowed to its fullest extent through all connection restrictions.
Seems odd that you claim to know so much about computers, however you use this WAY OVER USED phrase that is always used by people that really have no clue.
"They can handle World of Warcraft on full settings without issue."
Anyone that knows anything about computers would never use that phrase because they would know one thing has absolutely nothing to do with the other. The very first thing computer newbies say is "I can run this game or that game with no problems at all so I should be able to play this one."
Throwing out technical terms really means nothing in here, google is full of technical terms and articles. With a 10 second search anyone can answer your question with all types of technical jargon. However that doesn't mean that they understand what they are posting.
If you really know anything at all about computers you would know that saying "it runs World of Warcraft without issue" , isn't helpful at all. If you want help you need to give your PC specs, describe the exact problem as it happens and tell what you have done to resolve the issue. Without that basic information no one could help you and if you know about computers then you would know that!
Good luck sir. oh by the way if you really want help, you shouldn't attack those that try to help you! Even if thier help is of no use, they tried!
That depends on how the phrase is used. The way I used it is basically saying that the computer is above the minimum requirements to run this game. Farming Simulator 19 has lower requirements than World of Warcraft on full settings. The following is the differences as it relates to my system.
Farming Simulator 19:
AMD FX-4100 @3.6GHz or better
AMD Radeon HD 7770
World of Warcraft:
AMD FX™-8100 or better
AMD™ Radeon™ HD 7850
I agree that saying a person can run a different game without issue says nothing. When there is more to it, like in my wording, it means something.
I did put in what exactly the issue is. Though, I did, originally, forget to include troubleshooting steps performed. As the only troubleshooting I could find online about this is about ports and firewalls, I did include that later. The game is allowed through all restrictions. I do not use Windows Defender. It is allowed all possible communication through my Norton firewall. It is also allowed all communication on port 10823 on my Linksys firewall as stated by Giant.
A full spec breakdown of my computer is:
CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX
GPU: AMD Radeon Vega 64
Mobo: ROG Zenith Extreme
NIC: ROG Areion 10G
RAM: G.Skill F4-3000C14Q2-128GVKD
My house is wired for Gigabit ethernet.
I don't attack people, even if there response is not helpful. I only attack those that think it is ok to insult someone because they said "no offense".
If you own an Arieon 10G NIC you will experience this issue. I have tried changing jumbo packet settings, disabling flow control, and reconfiguring my router, DMZ'ing my pc, static IP, you name it I've done it. The most frustrating thing is that the card appears to be working correctly when transferring files on the LAN, running speed tests on Ookla, using traceroute, ping, cmd prompt commands. However, every time I host a game, or try to connect a game it lags out. There is no current solution to this issue that I am aware of. I even tried forcing the card into 1G mode and still the same results. The only workaround for now that appears to be working, is not using that NIC and plugging into your standard onboard 1G NIC adapter and playing games on steam with this. If for some reason you dont have a standard NIC then I suggest buying one. This workaround is working for me for gaming until new drivers rectify this issue.
Hope this helps to anyone on steam that cannot connect to a game server via server browser and is running an Arieon 10G NIC.
