Greenwich Valley pigs HELP ASAP

Hey guys, Im setting up my pig farm on Greenwich valley to produce manure and slurry. Does anybody know if you can just put straw bales in the feed trough directly or does it need to be loose?? I know I can just directly feed hay bales to the sheep but i cannot get the straw to work for the pigs. Can somebody please help me out?

Unless that map does something special with pigs, straw would be for bedding, not feed. Whether the pen will take unshredded bales for the bedding will depend on the pen; you might find some modded ones that do, but most don't.

I am able to unload loose straw into the trigger at the feed trough and it went in okay so I'd assume it has to be shredded
