How to delete dog houses.....

playing on a server, someone placed a bunch of dog houses, several in the middle of fields and nobody can sell them. how can we delete them? we are not sure who placed them, nobody is owning up to it at the moment.

When you go to Shop and then "your garage" you get to see everything you own. Doghouses should show up and you should have the option to sell.

One way to remove them would be to remove them via the XML files in the save. I'm not sure if the GIANTS Editor is capable of save editing. When you open the XML file, you will remove the sections pertaining to each doghouse and it should get rid of them. If removing them via the xml does work, the only other damage that will be left is terrain changes caused by the doghouse placement which can be mostly fixed using the in-game landscaping tools.

Before you attempt this, make a backup of the xml you are editing first just in case things go bad. Hell, make a backup of the server save on a whole.

Figure out who really did it yet? Or are you still going to act like a child and blame me for what happened? I don't care about your server, I'm not mad that i was removed. I'm upset because you decided to just blame somebody out of the blue like that. I would check your server logs buddy. You will not find me logged into the server. Or are you that blind?
And I hate to tell you this, but whoever did it is still in the server, so it will happen again. Good luck A holes

nobody fessed up to doing it. from what he said to me, he just asked if you were the one that placed them, we thought it was done when you were on but we don't know who or when exactly they were placed.
either way, we had to start on a new farm since we couldn't sell them and couldn't get the items.xml edited. I'm not a fan of drama, this is now in the past and I'm moving forward.

Oh internet drama... The sole reason I play FS solo, or is it all the edited mods in my folder that are the reason?

Don't think the GE editor is going to help you on a save game, as that is only for map editing before a game starts.

editing the items.xml works, I did it on a single player game but I don't have access to the server files and the owner couldn't edit it.
we just took the opportunity to try some other maps out.
