But the F11 Help hud only shows your steering wheel?
Yeah, I'm having same thing as Citadel have. I remember playing FS17 with both steering and side button working - but I also remembering having Saitek software that allow me to customize button binding.
Precisely, the controls are bound so they work in-game, but the F11 HUD only show's my steering wheel's controls.
So, I went ingame and found that we CAN bind side panel.
Go ingame and in Main Menu area.
Go to Options.
Go to Keyboard Controls (the one with keyboard buttons).
Look on the bottom with three options, click "Gamepad" or hit "X" on your keyboard.
There is two columns of keying binds. I changed few as I assigned some to side buttons and it worked. But when I hit "Reset" button and it automatically change all from my Xbox One Controller to my Saitek Heavy Equipment & Side Panel.
Then I went back in game and played with it. It worked.
I hope it helped.
I can bind the sidepanel controls just fine. But the HUD in the top left is showing bindings for my wheel, whereas I need the bindings for the sidepanel.
What's also annoying is how the wheel has 12 axis's, and I need to adjust the wheel's deadzone, but none of the axis's are labeled.
Ah. I always write it down. It would be nice to have that.
I saw that Axis deadzone in Giants forum.
Axis 1 & 2 are left thumbstick
Axis 3 & 4 are right thumbstick
Axis 5 is wheel
Axis 11 is right pedal
Axis 12 is left pedal.
Does it show some weird combination of bindings on your wheel that you have bound to one button on your side panel
Anyways, I disconnected the wheel. It's horrible because the camera view kept changing as I move the vehicle. If I go uphill, view would go down and if going downhill, it'll move up. Ugh. Only if Giants add VR, it would work well. Back to Xbox One Controller.
