The game has been out for over a year and presumably there will be a fully fledged sequel releasing on PC at some point, a financial injection and increased player base will likely benefit development and scope for the future.
Whilst existing customers such as yourself may initially feel a little betrayed, overall I think it could be a positive move.
Spending money when you don't have to is ridiculous. The OP is right to be happy.
i've heard this argument about supporting those poor starving devs before ... when a lot of the devs who work for the big software houses are practically millionaires made by people who think like you.
Steam takes a larger cut than Epic. Otherwise you should be buying direct from giants as it cuts out steam and they get all the money.
You don't like the store fine but there's nothing holy about steam.
