Of course, as longtime FS fans (I started late), you'd rather stick with that series, and that's fine.

Then i would recommend actually playing fs cause clearly you have never tried it. Or you just might be delusional.

Fs17 current players 9400. 30 day avarage 6846.
Pure farming . Current players 268. 30 day avarage 99 and that is current players after a decent update and dlc release.

Clearly Pure farming is the better game yeah. The reason it has so few players is because its TOO good.
This is sarcasm incase you didn't get it.

Why not stop complaine if you don't want to buy the game then don't that is up to you guys. some costummers seens to like what Giants does else they didn't do it.

If you want to go with Cattle & Crops go ahead. So much less equipment, no American equipment at all and graphically even worse looking than FS '15.

MP will be a totally different matter in FS19. Finally you can have separate farms with separate economy and instead of buying individual fields you aquire chunks of land for you to develop as you wish, like in real life. This is how MP should have been a long time ago.. Also John Deere is now licensed which also was not a day to early, after all it's the wolds leading farming equipment brand.

I play the game since 2013. I see the main game always as a foundation which becomes great with mods. And of couse modders are ahead of giants. There are so much more modders out there then giants folks. But isn't that great? Giants delivers a good foundation on which modders can do so much stuff. Most other games do not have mod support at all. This is so much work!
I am super happy with the changes the make for the upcomming version. They are maybe not that great, but the modders out there will make them perfect. The possibility to build up your farm will give modders so much possibilities, great!
See how many other games fail just with the foundation. So be happy, that you have a basic FS with a great community! ;)

That is just relaying on your community to grow their game, but no the community is amazing.

Upgrades from 17 to 19 will be probally only slightly more easier on the eye with a couple of nice changes to owning and building your own farm , thats about it.
Still just like any updated version it will be for the better albeit only slightly. I have pretty much wore out 17 and look forward to newer mods of fs19 and different gameplay. Just like fs9 to FSX , Xplane 9/10 to 11 and many other Simulator titles it "Should be" worth it as most modders will be ready for a change and fresh new look.

However.......Following the OP....
Cattle and Crops ,... what a mess with little updates and no real scope , Its a farm sim... yeah I still would put more faith in FS19. And yes I have Cattle and Crops from when it very first dropped. C&C had better pull their finger out because their about to loose any grasp on defining a new and fresh farming simulator. What has CC got better than slight graphical eye candy , not much and lets not mention the new features of 19 that CC havent incorporated and likely never will. I will still keep checking up with CC but am not expecting anything to come of it.

You say that, yet it's the complete opposite. Looking down that confirmed list of "new features" for FS19 I've noticed about 12-13 items already in C&C and about 4-5 items from other farming games out there. Bit of coincidence FS19 decided to added these so called "new features" suddenly in FS19 when they've been available in mods or other games from day one.

But looking at FS19 from the dev logs does seem imo does seem they've been some good improvements and new changes, have finally been made to the game and franchise is too late? ... are there more improvements time will tell. Need to wait and see for more news and yet still waiting for gameplay footage, apparently they'll be releasing some at Gamescom.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I followed PF for a while before it's actual release and after. Before release it seemed interesting, however, the more I learned about it pre and post release, that interest disappeared. To me, there are things that just don't compete with Farming Simulator. Some things may have changed by now... just to mention a couple simple things: Unable to use multiple input devices simultaneously, and poor steering wheel support with popular brands. I'd mention the released time scale options, but they changed that in one of their updates to match an ability in FS.

There is more than extra crops that makes a simulator feel better. In your opinion you feel that PF has beaten FS, however, I don't really see that.

I feel that FS19 has taken some pretty big steps from 17, even though several people will disagree with that. They've improved the interface, the mission system, farm building aspects, animal husbandry, graphics overhaul, sky/weather elements, added more brands/machinery. They have even added a couple extra crops since that's something important to you. Also note that FS has had greenhouses for a while, so I suspect 19 will have greenhouses, which you also like.

If you're a fan of the genre, I'd recommend that you not be too quick to rule out FS19. Follow the confirmed info and dev blogs, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Seeing some of the new additions to the game, it's really starting to look like Giants have made a proper effort with this release, which I'm sure has been hasted by their concerns of a new sim (C&C) on the block. I'm not holding my breath for anything ground breaking with this release, and I really hope they don't confirm my fears by coming up short with the new options for our farms, but things are looking up.

Pre-ordered it, so cross fingers I guess.
ghost2296 Sep 6, 2018 @ 7:00pm
Honestly I preordered it as well but really don't see much of a change.
They added more physics- Now your driver chair moves as you go across the rough terrain. You have more 3d looking fields (but not 3D).
Oh and John Deere….. Wow finally added John Deere after we have been modding in John Deere since FS09 I really wish I could love this game and be supper excited about all of the advancements but…...
I really don't see all of the big improvements everyone is talking about. We waited 2 years for this game and it is too close to the old game. They finally added campaign but every other farming simulator already had that.
I just dont think I am seeing a big enough advancement from FS17.
I hope I am wrong……. But i fear not…..

i agree with you..it seems to me its all a money spinner bringing out so called new games every two years and nothing changing....theres not even seasons in the 19 edition as far as i know....im actually only getting into fs17 now as i have all the mods i want and maps but it took me two years to build up the collection i have....i think its unfair on modders too and map makers to come along again and try and redo mods for fs19 with all the work and hours they put into 17 and its just been discharged into the bin basically,,,,i dont know why the developers cant be just like scs software as regards ets2 and bring out just One farm sim game and let it develop on further with dlcs and mods for its lifetime...they havent even changed the game engine for this edition either...its just a money grabber...
