Crops not selling???
I will admit to being new to seasons in FS19. Playing Old Farm Country Side as my first from scratch seasons map. The issue is that spring arrived, I mowed, then bailed then wrapped the grass and delivered to the only site that accepted bales...nothing. All that work, and $$$$ down the tubes, what gives? It was mid spring, raining, however the bales were wrapped and off to market. How did I fail?

Sounds like you sold grass bales wrapped in plastic. When using the Seasons mod, it takes wrapped grass 1/3rd of a season to ferment into silage. So if you wrap grass in the Spring, it will be around the end of that season before it turns into Silage. In the vanilla/base game, wrapped grass bales turn into silage the instant you wrap them.

Grass and straw are worth nothing while playing with Seasons, but the sell points will still accept them. So that is why your bales vanished off the map, yet gave you 0. Would of been nice if instead it popped up the message "Not accepted here" and saved you the loss. Just get a rough idea of how much money you should of made, and cheat it in by editing the two xml files real quick. Plenty of tutorials on that I'm sure.

If I am wrong about any of that info, somebody will correct me.

lol, I just checked that map out. It's not seasons ready, which doesn't matter. That just means that bales will not rot on that map until it is updated to Seasons. I also noticed that the barn/bale sell place does not buy anything with Seasons installed. So basically the only thing you could do is use a placeable mod that accepts silage... but other than that, all grass/hay/straw etc is strictly for animals.

Don't feel bad. I've played this fs series for thousands of hours and I make mistakes every single day and still don't know it all. This new Seasons is kicking my butt, I'm making mistakes and losing progress every single day... Earlier I planted an entire field to only realize I didn't wait until the ground was warm enough. Later I leased a harvester with my last bit of money only to realize the crops were wet and I couldn't do anything, yet couldn't return the equipment because I couldn't afford the initial lease to get them out of the store..... Just constantly little things like that. I'm often having to restart and do some cheating to gain back my time on mistakes. Part of the fun.

Damn! I like this map, but I can't see toiling like this and only earning scraps from the contracts. I can come back to this later but for now what map is working with seasons?

I've done plenty of games with all the badassed equipment, I want to start from scratch, hard core with crappy equipment and work my way up...but need a map that won't go sideways on me.

My bad, it looks like Old Farm Country Side does have an updated version that is Seasons ready according to yesmods. (2.0.0) So if you already have that updated version, you're good to go. It hasn't been updated on the in-game modhub yet, so if anybody installs the updated version from the web, in game it will show it has an update. That will just revert it back to the old non-seasons ready version.

Me, I'm playing on County-Line 2.0 while waiting on some others to finally get updated, which I am guessing won't be much longer for some of the really popular ones.

The zero price for hay and straw is for loose. You will still get the bale price.

Midwest Horizions is season ready. im going to atleast hope so, put alot of effort into it like waiting Patiently to plant my crops on the second to last day of early spring, ground temps took awhile to rise, and other lil things

Didn't even dawn on me that seasons would have a help library embedded in the game menu. A little reading would have saved me some anguish.

Thanks

It was wrapped, I'm used to ti instantly turning into fermented bales.
