What I do mind is a grind without progress. Making just enough money over a (real life, using the time controls) time period of 10 hours to pay the various expenses accrued is simply not fun. Is it realistic? I'm not convinced, but regardless it makes for a very poor gaming experience. I'd much rather the weather be more complex. Or soil quality. Or just about anything for that matter. Grind without progress sucks.
Grind where you see, if even only a little bit, of progress is awesome. It actually feels like what you are doing makes a difference. It feels like the economy is significantly harder from the previous games in the series... Proper balancing would dictate doing *something* to counter this. Like giving slightly more starting money. Or making something a bit cheaper, like starting equipment.
The baling idea was good, thanks to everyone who suggested that. In the past I've always viewed baling is a mid-game/end-game task after getting started with animals etc., and I've never done silage bales before. Now it is helping me make that little bit of extra cash so it feels like I'm actually progressing :D
Nice.
Also, I saw your question on one of the guides about why all the price difficulties weren't illustrated. I believe the prices are the same for the medium and hard difficulty, and that's why he only showed two different prices, instead of all three.
Oh man, I know it's off topic, but do you have any mods you're thinking of for that? that's exactly the kind of gameplay I'm looking for. I hate starting off with 12 vehicles, 4 fields and a bunch of money.
