Pigs
The pig feeding glitched. At first when I fed them all the bars for the pig food was at 100%. Also it requires about twenty pallets worth costing $20,000. How does it cost $20,000 to feed the pigs? Also when my trailer is empty some of the bars are not at 100%. Soybeans, Canola and Sunflowers also went to 100% yesterday and today it went to 98% and two days running the Potatoes and Sugar Beet is stuck at 40% and it never dropped from yesterday when my pigs ate. I paid about $20,000 again to feed my pigs and their food in total is still not at 100%. How much more food do they need? The other day when I was feeding my pigs, the food was pouring out at the normal rate from the trailer but the digits were dropping so slow.

You dont need to feed them everything. They only eat one type at a time.

The animal troughs hold 10 days of food for your pigs. If you own 1 pig the troughs will hold enough for 1 pig for 10 days and so on.

Next is the ratio of food the animals need. If the pigs have a full range of food they will be at 100 production. Corn gives 50% to production. Wheat barley 25%. Canola / soy 20% and potatoes / beets 5%. Therefore if you only had corn and wheat your pigs would be at 75%. Add soy you will be at 95%. potatoes add the final 5%.

These ratios also apply to what the pigs eat. If your troughs are full. Corn will last 10 days. Wheat will last 20 days and so on. Basically you need very few potatoes to last a long time.

Pig food is very expensive v's using your own food.

My data suggests pigs needs :

Corn 46 L
Wheat 23 L
Soy 18 L
Root 4.5 L

This is on normal difficulty. Simply multiply by how many pigs you have and by 10 days. to know how much you need.

Thanks for the data about what pigs need. Did you also calculate, what pigs cost in comparison to their sale price? I just got the intention that I could earn much more by selling my corn, wheat and soy on the market than feeding it to my pigs and later sell the meat...

Depending on how you sell your crops (always waiting for the highest price.), pigs are only slightly more profitable. I did them (doing cows on my latest map.) for variety and to use different equipment.

I think, if you play on easy economy, it's even worse. Sale prices for crops are doubled but sale prices for animals are still too low. For me this is the major downside of FS19: There is not enough reward for time consuming activities. It might be okay when playing with 10 friends on a map but when playing single, one needs ages till one can afford new equipment (and making money by editing save games or setting up solar panels isn't really motivating).

Does anyone know a possibility (or a mod) to increase the sale prices for milk or animals?
