Mods only. I find the vanilla game maps to be boring.

Played at Felsbrunn only untill I stumbled on Geiselberg a month ago (looks much more like the area where I live). Now I don't like those big grassy frames around each field from the vanilla maps

I played Felsbrunn at launch, put in 300+ hours on a save , tried out animals and stuff, as well as logging, but then, it got slightly tedious because the fields are so small and some have obstacles (Power Transmission tower between fields, etc).

I mean, i like Felsbrunn, it's a nicely done map, the problem is, i really gravitate towards big fields.

Lately i've been playing on Ravenport and i'm having a blast, even though some the fields have somewhat weird shapes the workers handle them fine. Overall it's a very well done map. And i'll keep on playing it for a while.

But i just want much much bigger maps, i was looking through some modded maps and tons of them are catered towards small village farming which has 0 appeal to me (since i like using workers, and workers and highly irregular realistic fields simply doesn't work) even if some are very well done. Then there's plenty who maybe realistic but simpy don't look fun at all to play in.

I'm looking for 4X maps, but everything i see just doesn't seem appealing. unbalanced maps, 4X maps with tons of small fields (what's the point?)

The only modded 4X map i really want to try is Flusstal XXL. It has some giant fields as well as a detailed world.

What i would really like is Giants to make a huge map (for FS21 perhaps). At least like some fields with 200 acres or something for some proper industrial farming.

100% mod maps

I just got this game over the weekend but have played other versions. Ive been playing on the 2 maps included but one thing that's driving me insane is the roads are so narrow. Then, the fields all seem to be on hills and the equipment just takes forever and a day to handle the slopes. Then, on Ravensport, there's JUNK in the middle of my property that can't be removed, wth with that? Where do I find some good modded (I don't want to install nexus mods either)

As far as I know, Giants only has their dlcs on their site. Every other mod there is made by the community and, yes, Giants tests them with all the other mods to ensure there are no errors or conflicts. Many fine modders have said screw it and do not participate with Giants “moderated” site. Part of that moderation is to prevent any mods that represent current or future licensed content which is why you can find many Claas mods on the private mod sites. I have heavily used mods from non-Giant sanctioned sites and have had very few problems. Any time I did have a problem I just deleted the mod and went on about my business. And I should mention that at no time have I ever gotten a virus or malware from any of those sites. You do not have to stick to the Giants website for mods.

so far in 19 only used vanilla maps simply due to the hours i have put into them and am still enjoying the savefiles - 17 was a mix of both

I'd love to use mod maps but I get some strange FPS drops on any custom map as soon as I hire a helper. Don't know what the issue is here. :(

Mod maps for me.

Only thing I use the vanilla maps for are for test games to try out mods before adding them to my real game.

The vanilla maps are just boring and lifeless.

Currently 100% mod maps. Mainly due to my preference for nice big ole rectangular fields. Those multishaped fields that make helpers useless drive me nuts.
