I can´t cut grass.

I start to play FS19. So I buy mowers and field to try cut grass. But I didn´t cutting it. I have mower down and turned it on but it wont cut. Sorry for my english. However my friends has same problem. Thanks for respond.

I had the same problem last night...thought it just wasnt ready to be cut but looked long. Maybe a bug? My poor sheep will starve

It is only ready if it is yellow on the crop growth screen.

^This. If you look on the map overlay and the grass is still in one of the green stages of growth it cannot be cut.

Also, you need to own the land on which you are cutting.

If you walk on to the field a small window will appear telling you if it is ready to harvest or still just growing

You can. You just have to own the land the grass is on.

Can you cut random grass around your farm or does it has to be in a field?

Yes. When its a field it just allows you for better yield.
