The reason why there are very few players in this game, you can look at the evaluation of the previous chapter, very miserable. Many people do not know how much progress this second chapter has.
As for upgrading and crafting system, because the forging system is only open in Chapter 6, the current chapter only has 7 chapters, and the difficulty of the game is relatively simple. Even if it is not used, this game can be easily passed. The development team is still doing the adjustment of value part. And I think that in the case of a general 2D side- scrolling game, the nightmare is normal and the standard is easy in this game.
Finally, the jump attack is the initial skill, don't worry.
Perhaps after all the chapters are released, you can consider re-playing because the game is still making detailed adjustments.
Edit: Wow... I read the reviews on the first one. Short game with little to no content?
Hope this one is better. Kind of wish there was a demo, just so I could try it first.
There are three kinds of cups to collect in the game. It is scattered in every corner of the game scene. Currently there are 20 cups of every kind in seven chapters. It can improve attack, blood volume and strength (skills use).
Howerer, I think the second one is already a different game than the first one.

And having all your power-ups based on level feels a bit silly. Its far more linear platformer than open area metroidvania. Especially when the only thing keeping me from exploring was "can't go here yet" prompts when I tried to enter doors.
Ok....after listening to you,
these parts are really a bit strange. Maybe I can tell the devs about your experience.
And one of the major parts of a metroidvania is that going forward is normally stopped by a power up requirement. Not a "don't go here yet" requirement like the pokemon and other rpg games did where they just stick a person or sign in the way until X boss is dead.
A double jump, screw attack, requiring a specific weapon to break a block or freeze an enemy INTO a block... They're important to the genre, lol.
But as of chapter 3, it doesn't feel like I'm doing any of the backtracking for upgrades and power ups, since I can already do nearly everything needed other than break gray stone cracked floors or enter doors with invisible barriers.
