If you're stuck, just reset the vehicle to get out of it. To pick up the pipes with the backhoe, you just need to position the bucket in the correct orientation to be able to pick up the pipe. Might help to change the camera view around until you discover the sweet spot to pick them up. Takes a bit of practice, but once you get it, you'll do fine. No reason to refund the game. Don't be such a snowflake next time.

If you have an XBox controller, just hit left on the D-pad and the camera controls will appear. You can also hit F1 at any time to see all of the controls on screen, and should have easy access to changing your camera view. Try camera views at 45 degree angles to your vehicle, that way you can get a better idea of perspective from the vehicle to the pipe (or other object) that you're trying to pick up.

If you're still having trouble with the pipe, I might suggest watching my video on the early part of the game and the first job, including the exact job you're having the issue with.
