oh i see.
yes i do agree, we need the ds sprites mod
Perhaps somebody could make like, a high-res pixel art sprites mod
Then the entire thing must be redone, not just sprites (which is, in the end, extremely time-consuming and not really worth the effort, imo)
I was talking about an actual port, not emulators, but k.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8dvjYJDZX4 it's almost straight out of the artbook.
Play the DS versions emulated (Or buy a DS and get a flash cart or buy the actual games)or get a 3DS and play the trilogy version there. (Which is inbetween this and the original DS/GBA in terms of art. The 240p resolution helps the look as well if that's what you are looking for.)

Here's an album showing the before and after. You need to view the full image to understand the effect and it improves on it imo. The new art is too smooth and looks like the colors were spray painted.
how do you accomplish this?
2. Select DirectX 11 on the installation and point it to PWAAT.exe in the phoenix wright steam installation folder.
3. Select all on the filters to install.
When the game boots you should see the reshade menu letting you know it's installed, then press 'home' on the keyboard, skip the tutorial then look for 'prod80_06_Posterize_Pixelate' and hit the checkmark. Then set the settings in the filter.
Here's my settings for it:

You can adjust the border strength setting to get the checkeboard DS look as well like this:

Here's the comparison between no AA and enabled AA, as well as settings and comparison between original DS resolution and x5 native DS resolution. [imgur.com]
Edit 1: Added DLSS view mode to the comparison, since that looks just as blurred as the original DS resolution.
Edit 2: Also added vanilla screenshots to the comparison.
It looks so much better with the ReShade pixel filter! Thank you!
