Is turnabout big top meant to be bad?

I'm on the investigation part and I don't know why but this case is pissing me off and I just turn it off after a few minutes. I can't get into it for some reason.

Actually it's one of those cases that really give flavor to this game! It's colorful and weird, Max Galactica was so pathetic and petty that it was fun defending him in court AND the murder case was very well thought out. I actually loved it, especially the checkmate when it happened in court... One of the most memorable scenes in any AA game ever!

It's not the WORST case; in my opinion, it was better than some of the second game's cases.

In my opinion Turnabout Big Top is the worst case in the original trilogy... but FAR from the worst case in the series. I can think of 4 worse cases right of the bat.

It's not so much the case itself I don't like. It's the insane penalties given during the court hearings. Wtf seriously 50% of my FULL HEALTH if I present the wrong thing???

Yeah, that's true... on the other hand this causes the best moment in the entire case when you ACCUSE THE JUDGE OF HIDING THE MURDER WEAPON! :D

Exactly! Best moment in the entire case. :D
Still, Turnabout Big Top does have SOME good moments like the new Reminiscence theme "True Pain", the confession of Acro and the reuse of the "Light and Shadow of the Film Studio" theme (even though the title doesn't make much sense, but oh well). Also I liked the characters of Ben and Trilo... at first, at least. Still, it is the worst case in the original trilogy, I won't deny that.

It's called third case syndrome, and it seems to be pervasive in games like this. It's too late to introduce new major characters or concepts, but it's too early to get into anything related to the finale. It's the trickiest spot of the game to handle, so I kind of understand. But I personally think there are a lot of great moments in the third case of each Ace Attorney game (excluding Dual Destinies' third case, that one was awful), so it's not all bad.

Does that mean that you haven't played Case 4 (Farewell My Turnabout)? I'm pretty sure that would change your mind, since that is one of, if not THE best Ace Attorney case. I would really give it another chance if I were you

I hated it at first, was a drag and I stopped playing. does improve a lot towards the end. personally I think its ok. worth playing to get to the rest of the game. Maybe stick a podcast on and blast through it
