Best place to play Apollo Justice?
So I own a DS version of Apollo Justice and then there's the 3DS version of it, which version should I play? I will play the DS version on my 3DS and the 3DS version on my... well, emulator lol, I heard there's some section with the mic and touchscreen, can the emulator do it well like the 3DS?

Second question: Will I be able to understand the story if I skip Apollo and goes straight to the other 3DS AA games? I just want to play as Phoenix Wright.

Apollo justice is kinda underrated and good for the most part, you should play it even if you don't like it to get the plot, also in the newer games you only play as Wright 1/3 of the game. After AA Apollo Justice you should play AA Dual Destinies after that comes AA Spirit of Justice. A.K.A. Don't skip games. You can set a bind to use the mic and then there was some voice sample thing... I dont remember it well but you definitely can.

Apollo justice is a start of the second trilogy, so you'll be fine. Except some mentions of characters and their little relation to Phoenix, like Ema. Thebbest place to me, is the ds version.

When it concerns the DS or 3DS version, they're the same game. The only difference is that Capcom I think remade the 4th game to use 3D models in the 3DS version, where the DS retains its 2D sprites of earlier games.

Apollo Justice actually sets up some stuff for the later games, especially with a couple important facts regarding Apollo and Trucy.

Far as the emulator is concerned, I don't think the voice capabilities are even used to solve any cases and are just there if you want to actually shout "Hold It!" or "Objection!" for any reason. I believe the only time it would be used is during fingerprinting to blow the dust away. A keybind could likely be set up to simulate voice input I believe; think I did this on the DS emulator way back when.

Best place would be to wait for the lazy bums at Capcom to port the 3DS / iOS version into Steam.

That's not Capcom's style though... they'll just give you Apollo Justice for 50 Dollars!

Personally think you're best getting it for Android/iOS , playing it on today's phone screens with large HD displays is far better than DS/3DS

I'm already on case 3 on Apollo Justice, a bit blurry but I played games on the 3DS awhile a go and it doesn't look good but it's fine haha. I'll try to play AA5 and 6 on Citra.
Since many Ace Attorneys are out on iOS and these three came to steam I wouldnt be suprised if more is on its way...
