Game Freezes on Wrong Evidence

Sometimes when I present the wrong piece of evidence or choose the wrong dialogue option when prompted the game just freezes. The music still plays on but I can't press anything to skip the current dialogue box (two times it was the judge telling me I seem to be wrong) and pressing escape kicks me out of the game window and onto my desktop. Can still get back into the game from the taskbar but the issue persists. Does anyone else get this?

Yes, this happened to me also at least 3 times. The game would still react to keyboard and joypad inputs and switch the icons accordingly, but I was unable to continue with the story.

Thanks this worked, the game still freezes but this time you can press pause and the game will resume.

however it only happened during the 2nd half of the first game, during the first half and justice for all its working
