Any other visual novels as good as the Ace Attorney games?
Steam has lots of visual novels, but are any even close to the Ace Attorney games?

Danganronpa is pretty fun, though its more of a visual novel/adventure hybrid. For full visual novels ive heard good things about Steins Gate.

To clarify, if you want graphic adventures like Ace Attorney, the Danganronpa series is a good choice.

Visual Novels don't have many gameplay mechanics like AA or DR, they are more click and read, with occasional choices here and there. If that doesn't sound like your thing, avoid them. But if you're interested in good stories, they are awesome, and my recommendations are Steins;Gate (as stated above), The Devil on G String and Root;Double to name a few that I remember that are on Steam and I have read. If only the Infinity series, or at least Ever 17 was here...

I am not sure what you would call Phoenix Wright, but there were several of these type games on the Nintendo DS. Hotel Dusk comes to mind off the top of my head. These games are similar to a game called Snatcher, which was created by the Metal Gear Solid creator, that is really good and right now the best version of that game was for the Sega CD and may also be the only English version of that game. It certainly is the only one with English Audio. The same guy also made a game that never received an English version called Policenauts. The main characters in that game were based on Danny Glover and Mel Gibson's characters in Lethal Weapon.

Danganronpa is a must-play. The entire trilogy is $60, but you can always wait for a sale.

This one might fit into puzzle / visual novel genre category as well.

Also, Ghost Trick on NDS. It's not on Steam tho, yea.

Ace Attorney and Danganronpa are pretty close cousins. The Nonary Games are also good, but there's less trial and investigation in that mystery and more escape room gameplay. There's also other strong visual novels depending on the level of interactivity you want, like Steins Gate or VA-11 Hall-A.

Honestly, I didn't enjoy Danganronpa. The series as a whole refuses to resolve the bigger mysteries that were set up. That, and the arcade mini-game nature of the trials really puts me off.

If you don't mind watching a mini-series, you can try the fan-made "Operation Turnabout" on Youtube.

You could always try the House in Fata Morgana.

Zero Escape and Danganronpa... though neither of which are as "light hearted" as Phoenix.

Aside from the ones mentioned, there's Regeria Hope, there is only episode 1 released (free) but it's a lot like the phoenix wright games (court parts), there is also Aviary Attorney that seem to fit the bill (Have yet to try it though, only seen it on youtube).

Danganronpa and Zero Escape are your best bets for story driven adventure games on Steam for now.
